Miller dumped from Robin Hood remakeJanuary 11th, 2009 - 12:43 pm ICT by IANS
London, Jan 11 (IANS) British actress Sienna Miller has lost out on a potential breakthrough as she has been dropped from the upcoming remake of Robin Hood.Miller was starring as Maid Marian in “Nottingham”, directed by Ridley Scott, reports mirror.co.uk.
The movie is a 110 million pounds remake of Robin Hood co-starring Russell Crowe. Miller has been reportedly dropped because of her party girl image. Miller has been having an affair with married actor Balthazar Getty.
When she got the part she had said she “could not have a better part… it’s happening. It’s the most exciting news in the world.” But now sources close to her say she was dropped because she was too young. A source said: “In the new film script, the cast is much older.”
Another source added: “The love scenes would have been laughable. He’s so old and fat and she’s so young and gorgeous. It’s just gross.”
But other sources claim she was dropped because of her lifestyle.
A source said: “Sienna’s image just wasn’t right, especially after her controversial affair with Balthazar Getty.”
Another source added: “This film could have propelled Sienna into the Hollywood hall of fame. Once you’ve been in a Ridley Scott film as Russell Crowe’s love interest, there is no looking back. The offers would have come flooding in.”
Ridley gave big first break to Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt. Unfortunately for Sienna, her reputation in the US has been tarnished by people branding her a marriage wrecker while she had just landed the part of a virgin-like maid.
“It’s such a shame because you couldn’t meet a nicer, more hard-working person. She’s a dedicated actress who takes her career extremely seriously,” a source said.
