Miley forced Billy Ray to cancel ‘The View’
February 23rd, 2011 - 12:53 am ICT by Aishwarya BhattLos Angeles, Feb 22 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The website Popeeater.com claims that Miley Cyrus has forced his father to cancel his scheduled interview with “The View” on Wednesday. That leaves Whoopi Goldberg and Barbara Walters really mad.
In an earlier interview with the GQ Magazine, Billy Ray said that he has been isolated from his daughter. He claimed that it scared him because he felt she may stray. He even compared his daughter to the late Playboy bunny Anna Nicole Smith. He said that he believes that the people that Miley has surrounded herself with might destroy her. He subsequently wants to be able to ‘shelter her from the storm.’
Billy was billed to appear on “The View” tomorrow. It was expected that he was going to talk bad about his family again. According to Popeeater.com Miley wouldn’t have any of that.
A source told the website that, “At first Miley defended her dad, wanting to believe he had been tricked into saying bad things by the magazine. Miley truly wanted to give her father the benefit of the doubt, goodness knows she’s said things she wishes she could take back. But after she found out about his media trip to New York, no more excuses could be made.”
A rep of Billy has confirmed that he would not be making the trip to New York to appear on the show.
