July 5, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): American pop singer Miley Cyrus has termed her relationship with the former ‘Hannah Montana’ star as Fairy Godmother. The 17 year old superstar has got this unusual fan in the form of Parton.

Dolly said that she has known Miley since she had been born. The legend befriended Miley’s country-pop singer father Billy Ray Cyrus during the 90s when he shot to fame with the hit number ‘Achy Breaky Heart’. Dolly has been a real role model for Miley since that time. In a recent interview, Billy disclosed their relationship.

Now, with Miley having grown into a woman, the 64 year old country singer thinks that she is doing everything right. Parton said, “I am really proud of her. I don’t think she is in need of my advice but she keeps on asking for advice and information. I help her with whatever I know and I think she is doing everything right without me.”

Parton added, “You are very wrong if you think I am going to pass judgment on Miley sitting here. I think, she is growing up and looks very beautiful.”

Dolly was the inspiration for Billy’s rise to fame and now she is serving as a role model for his daughter Miley. Billy said that he is very thrilled to know that both the ladies are so close.

He added, “It’s good to know that she idolizes a woman like Dolly. It is so wonderful and so special that Dolly has so much of influence on her.”
