The Teen Choice Awards that was aired on Monday at FOX might be long gone and over, but the buzz regarding the infamous pole dance performed by Miley Cyrus is still doing rounds in entertainment showbiz. Especially when the singer cum actress performed a ’sexually provocative’ dance in an award ceremony which is supposedly meant for the “teens”.

The 16 year old pop-star has already been rumored of having tagged as the “worst teen role model” by the sensible parents and audience who were present during Miley’s infamous pole dance.

According to the sources, Miley performed “Party In The USA” while flaunting a “relatively” smaller short, tank top and a biker boot. The situation heated up when she went on to dance with what seemed to be a “stripper pole”. Those who were present during Miley’s sultry performance thought that her body language was a little too provocative for a teenager. But Miley herself seemed to be quite relaxed as she defended herself by saying that the entire performance was actually a spoof on growing up in Tennessee.

The Disney Channel, from where Miley Cyrus rose to her fame of glory in the role of “Hannah Montana” reportedly issued a statement regarding the whole incident which said, “Disney Channel won’t be commenting on that performance, although parents can be rest assured that all content presented in the Disney Channel is age-appropriate for our audience - kids 6-14 - and consistent with what our brand values are.”

It seems that the channel is pretty defensive regarding the whole issue which consisted of Miley’s sexually suggestive movements which were quite provocative and reportedly indecent. Is the performance just a glimpse of the future? No wonder if Miley gets the award for “the worst teen role model” in next years Teen Choice Awards.
