Miley Cyrus has not yet turned eighteen. Yet, the video that she has worked in gives an essence of her sensuality to drool the people over her. In her new video, “Who Owns My Heart” the teen pop star has sported a black leather hot pants for the first time, to bring a drastic transformation in her media image.

Although she is still not yet an ‘adult’ and is still marketed mostly to the child audiences by Disney, this video has already categorized her under the R-rated 18 and older territory. In this particular video, the singer dances around a bed of a motel room with sensuous moves through a table top dance wearing a leather hot pant. She also makes certain alluring moves in the washroom, while getting ready for a party. The video however, is nothing unusually sexually exquisite, as there has been steamier videos launched before by several other pop-stars. However, some of her fans feel that Miley Cyrus is subjected to the criticism simply because of her pre-existing image.

Many people who have seen the video feels that the video is too raunchy for a seventeen year old. It is more so, because, Miley Cyrus has mostly been associated with kid’s shows and clean programs that are suitable for the family audiences. A sudden raunchy transformation in her image, might come up as a shock to a particular group of audience. Yet another group of viewers feel that she is just a teenager who is trying to experiment with her sensuality, before she makes her way to adulthood. They feel that an artist cannot be stereotyped into a kids’ show all through out her life, especially when she is herself not a kid anymore. Therefore she is definitely entitled to experiment with her image.
