May 6, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Viewers are going to be in for a major shock, albeit a pleasant one, when they get to see the video of the newest single by Miley Cyrus. Named Can’t Be Tamed, the video does, indeed, give a glimpse of the untamed and wild avatar of the teenage pop star, who, for the most of the world, is loved as the cute pop star in the hit Disney series, Hannah Montana. However, it is indeed somewhat difficult to relate the Miley Cyrus of the series and the debut album, Breakout, and the Miley Cyrus of “Can’t Be Tamed.” The video gives the impression that this is the actual breakout of the adult Miley Cyrus from the threshold of teenage.

In the video of the song “Can’t Be Tamed, Miley Cyrus is seen sporting a darker, wilder look, locked up in a cage. She is seen wearing a dress, designed by the famous Blond designer duo, which gives her the look of a bird, in keeping with the theme of freedom that the song dwells upon. Her makeup is also somewhat dark. However, while she definitely looks sexy, the video and the dress does not make her look anywhere near vulgar, and that definitely adds to the entire appeal of the video, in that it is aesthetically shot.

However, despite all the plus points, critics are of the opinion that Miley Cyrus, in the video of Can’t Be Tamed, is actually attempting to walk the Britney Spears way, another Disney find who shot to fame with her dark, sexy videos, and thus breaking out of the young starlet mold.
