Miley Cyrus’ bra flashing controversy: Just leave her alone

The Hannah Montanna star has been all over the internet thanks to her ’sensational’ pictures. But does everyone realize there’s nothing much in what has been rated as the top story is nothing more than a gossip that is intruding in her privacy. For instance, this picture showing Miley flashing her green bra is nothing more than a chirpy teenager trying to live her life. One look at Facebook and Myspace will tell us that these are very normal pictures of teenagers.
The other pictures (this and this) have also created a stir. But if one notices carefully, all we can see is that Miley is relaxing and her new boy friend - Thomas Sturges - is relishing her company. After all, who would take his eyes off such a beauty!
If they are going around and like each others’ company, why can’t we just leave them alone? After all Miley is a teenager and what kind of a teenager would like to have all her relationships scrutinized all the time.
Miley has further announced that she would be publishing her memoir to be released next spring. She said it will focus on her family relationships, especially with her mother Leticia, and would include several unseen photos of the family. “I am so excited to let fans in on how important my relationship with my family is to me,” Cyrus said in a statement issued Tuesday (April 22). The memoir will be under the Disney-Hyperion Books imprint. This memoir will provide more unseen photographs and an insiders view into Miley’s lifestyle. Till then, we can let her enjoy her privacy with Tom!

So, what I’m hearing from all of you people is that since it’s the lesser of evils, it’s not evil? Just because other girls her age and younger are doing it, it makes it alright for her to do so? What are you thinking?! She is a role model! If girls like Miley DIDN’T do these things, then maybe you’d see a lot less girls doing it also. She sets a standard for girls her age, and if she can’t show them how a young lady is SUPPOSED to act, then she deserves criticism. And what you may think is appropriate may not be to other people. She doesn’t need help, but she does need to try and think things through and while she may just be playing around, other girls see that as what they should be doing. That’s just wrong. She has too much responsibility to her fans and the parents of her fans to be doing this.

Celebs are just people too and they are allowed to make mistakes. She has already appologised for these photos. And who are you kidding saying that if miley didnt take photos less girls would? Experementing teenage girls are always gonna be experimenting teenage girls. So leave her alone, the pic isn’t even that bad. Celebs have dresses that show more than that.

Miley Cyrus is supposed to be a good role model for kids. Instead she is simply a bad influence. Yes, there are girls on myspace doing this same thing and worse. That doesn’t make it okay for Miley to do it. In fact, it makes it even worse. Instead of spurring them on and inspiring other too young girls to take inappropriate pictures, Miley Cyrus should be renouncing doing such and giving young girls something to look up to. I am appalled that this should be deemed as “normal teenage behavior.” The public routinely scrutinizes older celebrities lives and relationships. Younger stars are no exception to this and should understand that. If Miley Cyrus wants to be left alone and doesn’t want rumors flying she should avoid stunts such as this. I’m deeply concerned that so many teenagers think this is normal. Hell, I’m a teenager. I’m 16 and I think Miley is a whore. I have a ten year old sister and the last thing I want is for her to grow up thinking this is okay, that this is normal. It’s not normal. Personally I don’t believe in God, but if you do it’s simply rediculous to say that this is what God designed us for. According to the Christian religion pornography is a sin, and from where I’m standing Miley Cyrus sure looks like a Jenna Jameson in the making. When I think of a “flirty picture” I think of a picture of a girl blowing a kiss to the camera or giving the camera a coy look, not acting like a porn star. This is simply rediculous. I cannot communicate with words how disgusted I am by the fact that people would actually DEFEND this type of behavior. If you found your child acting like this how would you act? Not say anything because its “normal teenage behavior?” That’s disgusting. Miley Cyrus is younger than I am. I simply find it revolting that anyone would try to defend behavior such as this. To all those that do: You only help to encourage the younger generation to be whores. I hope your daughters or yourselves if you are a teenager become pregnant so that you can see what’s happening to this generation and this country.
