Mike Tyson Exodus Tyson, the four-year-old daughter of former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson, has been reported dead by news network CNN.

Labeling the report as “unconfirmed”, the network reported the child had died after hanging herself on a cable under a treadmill machine at their Phoenix home on Monday.

Emergency crews who responded to the 911 call for assistance performed CPR on the girl as they rushed her to St. Joe’s Hospital, where she was admitted and had remained in an “extremely critical condition” on life support.

According to Phoenix police Sergeant Andy Hill, the girl’s seven-year-old brother found her on a treadmill with her neck in a cable attached to the exercise machine console.

The former boxing champion was in Las Vegas at the time but flew to Phoenix, where he has lived with his girlfriend for more than five years, immediately after learning of the accident.

Reports of the girls death spread on micro-blogging site Twitter within minutes of the report, with Twitter news services and others rushing to highlight that the report by CNN was unconfirmed.

Phoenix police also said they were unable to confirm the death.
