New York, Mar 16, (THAINDIAN NEWS) A boxer who is a bird lover? Apparently, this sounds crazy but when you have Mike Tyson in the picture, impossible is just a vague word. Animal Planet has come up with the idea of a reality TV show, “Take on Tyson,” where they plan to feature the former boxing champ. Mike Tyson will be appearing for the very first time on television as a reality star.

Mike Tyson talks about his love toward birds, especially pigeons, since his childhood days. Instances of the rowdy guy’s bird love cite incidents of his thrashing out people who were found torturing his pet birds. This is much prior to when he actually started off his boxing career.

“Take on Tyson” will be a different show altogether as claimed by the makers. The show involves Mike Tyson’s birds being put to race against the very best racing pigeons of the country, that the show people can find. The makers are hoping for the very best to come out of the show which is slotted to go live on Animal Planet. It will depict Mike Tyson along with 200 of his birds.

However, the animal rights group PETA has already criticized the upcoming show and they are all up against the fact which they feel is a disgrace to the network that is broadcasting it. Peta president feels that the makers should not be indulging in this kind of show which involves the risk of birds trying to race out one another and in the process, face serious issues like getting lost in their flight.
