Washington, Mar 17 (ANI): Hollywood actor Mickey Rourke is totally determined about getting the portrayal of his role as the villain in the Iron Man sequel right, which is why he visited Russian prison to research his character.

The Golden Globe award-winning actor, who is all set to play the Russian super-villain Whiplash in the flick, visited Moscow to get into the mindset of a former Eastern Bloc baddie.

The Wrestler actor visited Butyrka prison in Moscow, met guards there, and even asked them to lock him up for a brief moment.

However, Iron Man director Jon Favreau refused to confirm reports that Rourke was his Whiplash.

“The people that have deals should all be finalized in our cast this week. There are no big surprises in casting coming that I can foresee, Contactmusic quoted Jon as saying.

Meanwhile, Iron Man star Robert Downey, Jr. has been fighting to get Rourke in the sequel for months. (ANI)
