Sep 8, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Former supermodel and Mick Jagger’s ex, Jerry Hall, has recently announced that she will sell off 14 pieces of art work from her collection. Expected to fetch around $2 million in total, the collection boasts of some famous pieces as well. Jerry Hall has revealed that the purpose of selling off the art is to get rid off past memories and move on in life. She and Mick Jagger got divorced back in 1999 after Mick Jagger was reported to be the father of a child with another woman as well.

The collection of artwork will be auctioned by Sotheby’s next month and contains some contemporary works from the 70s and 80s. One of the most notable pieces in the art collection is the nude painting of Jerry Hall by Lucian Freud. The collection also has two other portraits of Jerry Hall and also a work by her friend Andy Warhol which he presented to her in exchange for her appearance on his TV show. Among some of the other notable paintings in the collection there are also works by Frank Auerbach and Robert Graham.

The former supermodel has called the auctioning of the artwork as ‘Cathartic’ and said that it is good to be in the moment and change with time. In a recent book she has called Mick Jagger a ’sexual predator’ and also spoken about the life that the couple had together. The book named ‘My Life in Pictures’ will be released shortly after the auction in October. It is being touted as a tell all which will give the fans an insight into the life of the glamorous couple.
