New York City, June 8 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The network president of Nickelodeon, Cyma Zarghami, has revealed that US First Lady Michelle Obama is going to be on the network’s popular show “iCarly.” The Obama girls are said to be fans of the show as well.

During an interview with the Associated Press, Cyma explained that Michelle’s appearance will be to promote the need for the families of US servicemen to be supported. The initiative is called Joining Forces and the First Lady is credited with starting it.

The executive director of the show, Dan Schneider, told reporters that he wrote the particular episode that Michelle will appear in just for the First Lady. In the episode which will be aired in January, the main character of the show Carly Shay (played by Miranda Cosgrove) will have the chance to chat with her father who is a military man stationed overseas.

The First Lady will get to know about the chat and join the family. The network said Michelle Obama’s chat with the family will be in the “most positive way possible.”

Cyma doesn’t expect the episode to generate and furor for the network. She said that, “It’s a feel-good initiative and regardless of your political affinity, everybody cares about these families, so it just feels right.”
