joe2 June 28, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): The world was mourning the death anniversary of the ‘King of Pop’ and was paying a tribute to Michael Jackson on June 25. But his Dad paid a tribute to his son in a very different way. Joe Jackson filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Dr Murray, who had been treating his late son.

The lawsuit was filed in a federal court in downtown Los Angeles. He is also asking for an unspecified amount of money now. Earlier this year, Murray was alleged with the charges of involuntary manslaughter in a criminal court.

Joe Jackson has reportedly charged Dr. Murray with many things within the lawsuit. The charges include withholding vital information from the paramedics, which was related to his son’s health. Joe also claimed that Murray was negligently hired.

A statement from Murray’s lawyer said, “We are saying it repeatedly that Murray has not prescribed or administered any wrong medicine that could kill Michael Jackson.”

The statement described Dr Murray as a responsible and kind hearted physician. It added, “It is just to remind you all that Dr Murray was never found guilty of doing anything wrong and his innocence will be proved in the court very soon. The filing done today is not a surprise for us as we had been told about this earlier.”

Accusing Murray of professional negligence, Joe Jackson has sought a minimum of $75,000 in the lawsuit. He added that Murray did not inform about the effects of ‘Propofol’, the drug which is believed to have killed the singer.

All these issues can be solved once the secret behind the legend’s death becomes clear.
