Washington DC, Nov 26 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A publicity hungry couple who also appeared in a Reality show, managed to gate-crash into the US President Barack Obama’s first state dinner in honor of the Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. The couple has been identified as Michaele and Tareq Salahi. They managed to fit themselves in a very strict and selected guest list of 300 people on Tuesday night.

For the Secret Service entrusted with the President’s security, this is a serious security breach. They are investigating how the security arrangements lapsed and this wannabe-couple got in.

They are polo-playing socialites and the couple has reportedly appeared on one of the reality shows “The Real Housewives of DC.” They belong to Virginia and have posted numerous pictures of their gatecrashing at the state dinner on their Facebook page. They have posed with numerous political figures in these pictures.

On her Facebook page, Michaele Salahi left no stone unturned to boast about her state dinner heist. She wrote on her page, “I was honored to be invited to attend the First State Dinner hosted by President Obama & the First Lady to honor India. In June 2010, the America’s Polo Cup will be between INDIA & the UNITED STATES. Please join me in this cultural celebration of politics, diplomacy, fashion, sports, entertainment & family fun.”
