November 17th, 2009 - 3:04 pm ICT by ANI ( Leave a comment )London, Nov 17 (ANI): Actor Michael Sheen is all set to don the director’s cap at the National Theatre of his native Wales.
The 40-year-old Sheen will act as creative director for a modern take on the Passion Plays, which will be enacted next year.
The Frost/Nixon star personally contacted the company’s artistic director to be a part of the play in Port Talbot, Wales and is obviously overjoyed.
“It is an honour to be a part of National Theatre Wales. I am both excited and terrified about this project, which I suppose is the perfect state of mind to approach it in. I am very grateful for the opportunity to work in and with my hometown and to see what we can achieve together,” the Daily Express quoted Sheen, as saying. (ANI)
