Michael McDonald is all set to perform in two live shows

Michael McDonald, popularly referred to as the best American blue eyed R&B soul singer, is all geared up to woo the audience with his live performance in The Ridgefield Playhouse in a Spring Extravaganza. The event will take place on the 19th of June, 2009 with a reception at 9 p.m. McDonald’s music’s ardent fans will know that he has released his latest album very recently. He claimed that, “These songs span my life-they’re the ones where I can remember where I was when I first heard them, the ones that made me interested in becoming a recording artist, the songs I’d always imagined myself singing.”

There is more good news for his fans as he will also perform at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino at Verona, New York, as a part of their inaugural program. McDonald will perform there on the 23rd of July, this year. Tickets are priced at $80, $70 and $65 and are already on sale from the 22nd of May.

McDonald is a five time Grammy Award winner and he is a gold and platinum selling soulful singer and writer. What sets him apart from a hoard of other R&B singers is his distinctive soulful and husky baritone range. Before emerging as an immensely talented solo artist Michael McDonald had performed as a member of Doobie Brothers and Steeley Dan.
