Los Angeles, Oct 27 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Lohans are fast becoming very familiar with the law. After watching his daughter being put through the criminal judicial system, Michael Lohan has become the next Lohan to have a brush with the law.

The 51-year-old was arrested on Tuesday for assaulting his former fiancé. Just 12 hours after he was granted bail, the authorities arrested him again. This time, he was picked for violating the terms of his release. He was not supposed to contact the ex but he tried to do so when he left prison.

To make matters worse, Lohan tried to escape from the police and jumped from the third storey of his hotel. He ended up with a broken foot. The Daily Mail reports that Lohan ended up on a tree when he jumped the structure.

The complainant is former Star Magazine reporter Kate Major. She told officers that Lohan assaulted her when she refused to grant his request of oral sex. He has since been charged with domestic battery.

Lohan insists that he never beat her but the police say he did not only beat her but smashed her cell phone in the process as well. He also allegedly threatened to throw her from the fourth storey of the hotel that the two were lodging in.
