Michael Jackson’s ‘This is It’ DVD to be released on 26th January

Los Angeles, Nov 30 (THAINDIAN NEWS) After the Michael Jackson ‘This is It’ documentary release in the theaters, it is now the time for the DVD release on 26th January 2010. This is also the date on which the Blu-ray Disc will be released.
Sony’s “This Is It” has earned around $71 million in domestic box office since debuting in theaters on October 28 2009, and the studio’s plans for its home-video release have been the subject of considerable speculation.
Many people were in the opinion that Sony should have released the DVDs in time for the Christmas gift season, but Sony had some other plans on it’s mind and has deferred the release to early next year on 26th January 2010.
The DVD version of “This Is It” will have numerous mini-documentaries and other special extras too, packed in it to lure the customers. According to reports, the Blu-ray Disc also will also include two versions each of the Jackson music videos “Smooth Criminal” and “Thriller.”
The DVD of “This Is It” will carry a suggested retail price of $28.96 and the Blu-ray version a price of $39.95. A PlayStation Portable disc is also in the pipeline, which is to be priced at $24.94.
