Michael Jackson’s glove sold for $190,000

Michael Jackson London, Jun 28 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A glove of the late King of Pop – Michael Jackson has been sold for $190,000, according to the BBC. The auction was held at the Planet Hollywood in the sin city - Las Vegas over the weekend. The organizers of the auction were Julien’s Auctions.

“It just shows you Michael Jackson is the most sought after and most collectible celebrity of all time. It was just phenomenal. People flew in from Asia, Russia, all over. Now that he’s gone, we now realise the true legend we lost,” according to Darren Julien, who was responsible for organizing the auction. He revealed these details to the Las Vegas Review Journal.

This is not the first time that Michael Jackson’s gloves have been auctioned. They had been auctioned in September 2009 and then they had managed to fetch just $49,000. However this time around, they surpassed all expectations when the crystal-studded glove was auctioned for $190,000.

This particular glove had been worn by the late Michael Jackson in his Victory tour, which had been held in 1984.

Apart from Michael Jackson’s items, there were other celebrity items, as well like Marilyn Monroe’s set of 3 chest X-rays, that were sold at a very high price.
