Los Angeles, Jan 15 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The pop singer Michael Jackson’s custom furniture is up for grabs. It is going to auctioned off. This furniture was kept in his English home that he actually never lived in. The furniture was inspired by furniture at Tsa Nicholas II’s Winter Palace. According to reports, Michael Jackson reportedly spent over $700,000 for the 20 pieces furniture that is now on sale.
Some of the items according to ABC News include:
-A winged wall-mounted console
-Versace-inspired animal-print style table
-Lavish hand-printed leather armchair with crystal legs
-Replica of an ebony inlaid wood desk
Most of the custom furniture never actually made it to his home and was still being designed and shipped to England. As they weren’t shipped before his untimely death, so refunds where issued from Colombostile Inc. to Michael Jackson’s family. Michael Jackson’s family was very pleased with the refunds that were made by the furniture company.
Kenneth Bordewick, boss and designer at the Beverly Hills Luxury Interiors, was quoted as saying, “It was a very generous gesture and the Jackson’s were so appreciative they sent Colombostile a letter of thanks. The Jackson collection really is remarkable – one parlor set was inspired by furniture at Tsar Nicholas II’s Winter Palace for Michael Jackson’s English palace. That alone would cost $600,000 because it features hand embroidery with 24-karat gold thread, Swarovski crystals and fine silk.”
