news_580412a Los Angeles, Feb 3 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Lawyer for Michael Jackson’s doctor revealed on Tuesday, that his Houston-based client was ready to surrender to the police, in case the authorities are going to file charges against him. He also said that his client – Dr. Conrad Murray is presently in Los Angeles, for some personal reasons. “I don’t have any specific information that leads me to believe he is going to be charged this week,” lawyer Ed Chernoff said, “but if he is, we’ve made it clear he’s available to turn himself in.”

This candid admission by Dr. Conrad Murray’s doctor set off a fresh round of speculations, that the authorities are about to file charges in the near future. It has been no secret that the police investigators have been thinking about manslaughter charges against the doctor, for quite some time now. However the LA County district attorney’s office refused to divulge any of the details at all. “All I can tell you is that we have not filed anything. When and if we do, we will let everyone know at one time,” spokeswoman of the LA County district attorney’s office, Sandi Gibbons said.

It may be recalled that Dr Conrad Murray was Michael Jackson’s personal physician who provided him with the anesthetic propofol that the coroner’s officials say, killed Jackson. So he has remained the main focus in the investigation. However on his part Conrad Murray has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing, and insists he gave then-appropriate medical aid, when he found Jackson distressed, and not breathing on June 25 2009.
