Michael Jackson AEG, the promoters of the Michael Jackson memorial event and the dead stars aborted comeback tour scheduled for England, have written to mourning fans promoting a range of Michael Jackson clothing.

In an email sent to the more than 1.6 million people who applied for tickets to the event at the Staples Center earlier this week, the company said: “Early in June, Michael Jackson approved a line of official merchandise for you, his fans.

“As we mourn the loss of one of the greatest talents the world has ever seen, we are only beginning to feel the impact that Michael left upon us all.

“A variety of official merchandise commemorates this incredible talent and preserves the legacy that is Michael Jackson,” the company said.

The 300-piece collection of clothing and accessories includes a signature red jacket inspired by the famous garment that the King of Pop wore in his landmark Thriller video.

The collection also includes more unusual items such as wine glasses, handbags, tea sets, sleep masks, and belt buckles.

Jackson helped design many of the items, which were meant to be released in conjunction with the start of his concert series in London.

Just as the dead 80s King of Pop’s recordings are experiencing a new lease of life, AEG is demonstrating that while the entertainer might be dead, commercial realities and a 1.6-million name mailing list, will ensure merchandise bearing his name will continue to reap millions of dollars.
