Michael Jackson An autopsy on the body of 80s King of Pop Michael Jackson failed to determine the cause of death..

A spokesman for the Los Angeles chief medical examiner-coroner said the postmortem examination found no visible signs of foul play in the death of the 50-year-old entertainer and a full finding would not be available until the results of toxicology tests were known in up to six weeks times.

He said the body of the dead pop icon was now available for collection by the family and funeral arrangements could be made.

The autopsy was performed by Dr. Lakshmanan Sathyavagiswaran, a star witness in the O.J. Simpson murder trial.

Sathyavagiswaran was elected chief medical examiner-coroner in 1992 after fourteen years as a deputy medical examiner. He was the medical examiner during the O. J. Simpson murder case and testified in the criminal and civil trials.

Sathyavagiswaran also testified in the trials of Dean Carter and Phil Spector.

Meanwhile Los Angeles Police Department homicide detectives are still waiting to speak to Jackson’s private physician, Houston Cardiologist, Dr. Conrad Murray.

Dr. Murray was living with Jackson at his rented Beverly Hills mansion and is reported to have given the eccentric entertainer a daily injection of the pain killer Demerol – a Morphine like narcotic – at about 11.30am yesterday morning, not long before Jackson suffered cardiac failure.

The Houston cardiologist is reported to have performed CPR until paramedics arrived, and continued doing so at UCLA Medical Centre.

Jackson family members are claiming the dosage the King of Pop received from Dr. Murray yesterday was “too much” and it’s what caused the entertainers death.
