Michael Jackson Portrait Fails To Attract Any Bidders

bidLos Angeles, May 7, (THAINDIAN NEWS) This is a piece of news that is sure to leave the large number of Michael Jackson fans highly disappointed. It seems that when it comes to auction, the King of Pop fails to enjoy the popularity that he is otherwise known for as a portrait of Michael Jackson which is claimed to be the only painting that celebrated musician ever posed for, failed to attract any bidders in an internet auction recently.

Despite the fact that the organizers of the auction had expected to gather millions by selling the portrait of the King of Pop, they were in for the shock of their lives when the painting did not receive any bids. While talking about the portrait, organizer Marc Samson revealed that negotiation for the sale of the painting is on with two parties and the deal might take place very soon. However, other details pertaining to sale of the portrait has not been available as yet.

The 50-by-40 inch painting which is titled “The Book” which features the musical artist at his Neverland Ranch adorning a red velvet jacket and holding a journal, was created by Australian painter Brett-Livingstone Strong. It has come to light that the present owner of the portrait Marty Abrams had expected to sell the painting for a whopping $3 million given the fact that the minimum bidding price for the portrait was $2.75 million. However, things hardly went as expected with not a single bidder turning up to show interest in acquiring the painting. Meanwhile, Marty Abrams got hold of the portrait from Japanese businessman Hiromichi Saeki who was the original owner.
