micJan 21, (THAINDIAN NEWS) It has come across as an extremely disappointing news for the Michael Jackson fans in the United States who could have caught a glimpse of the widely anticipated short-film anthology “Moonwalker” on the big screens! The Michael Jackson estate has banned the ArcLight Theater from screening the film by refusing them to use the print of the short film. The original print of the film which contains a collection of many short films and music videos of the famous pop king are in the possession of the Michael Jackson estate who have expressed their desire of not letting the film be screened by the Los Angeles based theater.

Michael Jackson fans however need not be fully disappointed for the Michael Jackson estate has said they might release the film sometime, although have not mentioned any time for it. The world famous “Moonwalker” incidentally was never released in the United States. It was released in European nations and had gone to become a big hit. The movie was released on VHS towards the first half of the year 1989 and became an immense success with all the magic that Michael Jackson had added to it. The ArcLight Theater after twenty years were planning to give something new to the US fans by thinking of bringing the famous musical film to the theaters.

The idea that ArcLight Theater actually had was to screen the hit film for one particular night as a result of which they had contacted the Michael Jackson estate. However, to their dismay they were denied the print of the film. An ArcLight spokesperson revealed that it was a depressing news that the print was not made available to them. The estate has the rights, but right now have no plans to issue the prints to nay one.
