Berlin, Feb 8 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Michael J. Fox was honored in Berlin during the Golden Camera Awards.

The 49-year-old star was honored with a lifetime achievement to cinema during the event in the German capital. The Hollywood Reporter reports that last year’s winner of the award, Danny Devito, presented the award to Fox.

Fox has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. During Devito’s speech, he paid glowing tribute to the actor.

He said that, “It was such a shock to hear he had Parkinson’s. It would have devastated most people but he took it as a challenge and approached it with the enthusiasm and passion of a great actor”.

Fox was delighted with the award. It is one of the most prestigious awards that any actor could receive. He told those gathered that he was “humbled” by the award. On the lighter side he believed that receiving an award on the same stage with Devito made him “feel old”. He recalled when he received his first award back in 1985.

There were other award winners as well. Renee Zellweger received the award for “Best International Actress”. Renee was glad that she has joined the group of seasoned stars that have won the award.
