Sep 16, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The much anticipated finale of ”America’s Got Talent” saw some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry perform alongside some of the biggest talents that the show has seen this season. Apart from the stellar performances by the big stars, there were also some great performances from the contestants eliminated earlier in the competition but still possessing amazing talents. In the end, Michael Grimm was adjudged the winner of the competition. He overtook Prince Poppycock, Jackie Evancho and Fighting Gravity.

Though some of the bloggers have shown outrage at the results, many felt that he deserved to win. His appeal amongst the teenagers ensured that he gets ample votes before the finals. The judges too were expecting him to win as evident from their reaction in the previous episode. Sharon Osbourne had commented after his song ‘When A Man Loves A Woman’ that her husband, Ozzy Osbourne, had bet a $100 that he would win the competition. Piers Morgan said that he deserved to win ”America’s Got Talent” because he represented America well. Howie Mandel had called it the best performance on the show and also predicted that he would win the competition.

In the finale, the acts were asked to pick their personal heroes to sing along. Michael Grimm chose Jewel and sang the song ‘Me And Bobby McGee’. Another duet that got people talking since the airing of the finale was the one between Jackie Evancho and Broadway star Sarah Brightman. After some build up and the competition boiling down to the final two that included the 10 year old opera singer, Michael Grimm managed to walk away with the million dollars and also a show at Las Vegas.
