Michael Douglas Wins The Battle Against Life Threatening Disease, Cancer

There is some good news for Michael Douglas fans as he has finally recovered from cancer. Douglas fans were quite sad when he announced that he was on the late stage of throat cancer. Douglas has added that the chemotherapy and the radiation sessions have worked in his favour and he is finally free from the life threatening disease. Dr. Bert W. O’Malley who is a professor and chairman of the department of otorhinolaryngology head and neck surgery at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center was thrilled to hear the news and added that Douglas has finally crossed the biggest obstacle of his life and it is now important to take into account of what happens to him in the next three years. The term period of three years is an absolute necessity to detect whether the person is free from cancer.
There was an outcry when Douglas was detected at the last stage of his cancer (stage -4), which is a very common thing. Doctors are also of the opinion that Douglas should get himself screened very frequently so that the tumour does not recur again. Experts also warned about the impact of certain side effects. Douglas also plans to gain 32pounds which he had lost due to the radiation. Douglas have been eating well to gain weight.
