New York, Jan 28 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Actor Michael Douglas son Cameron Douglas admitted in New York court, that he had heroin and was also dealing in large amounts of methamphetamine and cocaine out of his hotel room. Cameron also pleaded guilty in a Manhattan court to conspiracy to distribute crystal meth and cocaine and even to heroin possession. He pleaded guilty before the U.S. District Judge Ronald Ellis.

Cameron Douglas was arrested on 28th of July at Gansevoort Hotel in Manhattan. For his crime he is looking at least 11 years behind bars, and might be to a life in jail as well. The charges also said that even after his arrest, and while he was on pretrial release, then also Cameron possessed heroin. According to the court records, Cameron sent huge quantities of methamphetamine to New York via FedEx between the period 2006-2009. Methamphetamine is better known as ‘crystal meth’ and ‘ice’.

After his son’s arrest, Michael Douglas admitted that he was not a good father to his son. He described his son’s arrest as ‘devastating’. “I’ll assume whatever responsibilities I have to. Would it have been better to have been around more? Absolutely. There were absences, and I was no angel,” said Michael Douglas.
