Hollywood actor Micheal Douglas has revealed in an encounter with PEOPLE, that he is holding up fine after the news of his son’s arrest had surfaced last month. After all, it is surely a nightmare situation for parents to have to confront such situations in the lives of the kids. Moreover, actor Cameron Douglas may even have the life sentences awarded to him, on charges of drug dealing.

The event has most certainly pitched home a lot of undue stress and worries, which did it’s turn to put the Douglas family under a lot of uncalled for anxiety. Upon being asked how the junior Douglas was keeping, Michael Douglas told PEOPLE at the premier of his latest film “Beyond Reasonable Doubt” in the New York City, “..given the circumstances, as well as can be expected.”

Speaking about how much toil the the incident has taken its toil on him, Douglas revealed, “I’m holding up fine. It’s a very difficult situation and painful, as I’m sure any mother or father of a substance abuser knows. So we’re doing the best we can.”

The 30 year old Cameron had been placed under arrest on July 28. the charges that he had been indicted with includes dealing in methamphetamine (which is also known as the crystal meth). After his arrest, he had been released on bail; following which he had been confined to an apartment in New York. However, a judge ordered for him to be transported to the Metropolitan Correctional Center, after it had been discovered by the authorities that Cameron’s girlfriend had tried to smuggle him some heroine, that had been hidden inside an electric toothbrush.
