Michael Douglas comes to court to support son - Cameron

mds New York, Jan 30 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Hollywood star Michael Douglas appeared in court to provide moral support to his jailed son – Cameron Douglas. Earlier Michael Douglas son Cameron Douglas admitted in New York court, that he had heroin and was also dealing in large amounts of methamphetamine and cocaine out of his hotel room. Cameron also pleaded guilty in a Manhattan court to conspiracy to distribute crystal meth and cocaine and even to heroin possession.

According to the New York Post, this particular session took place in a closed courtroom, and Cameron’s case file was sealed. This implies that he is in sync with the federal agents, and the case might be resolved soon. Michael Douglas and Cameron Douglas’s lawyers refused to comment on the case at all.

It may be recalled that Cameron Douglas was arrested on 28th of July at Gansevoort Hotel in Manhattan. For his crime he is looking at least 11 years behind bars, and might be to a life in jail as well. The charges also said that even after his arrest, and while he was on pretrial release, then also Cameron possessed heroin. According to the court records, Cameron sent huge quantities of methamphetamine to New York via FedEx between the period 2006-2009. Methamphetamine is better known as ‘crystal meth’ and ‘ice’.
