Michael Caine wants young offenders sent to special schools rather than jail
September 15th, 2009 - 6:08 pm ICT by ANIWashington, September 15 (ANI): Actor Michael Caine believes that the British Government should send young offenders to special schools instead of prison, in order to deal with the country’s rising youth crime.
“They need to be sent to school, not a prison where they will learn to be criminals,” Contactmusic quoted him as saying.
The ‘Get Carter’ star plays a widower in new movie ‘Harry Brown’, who seeks revenge for the death of a friend at the hands of young thugs.
He insists that jail sentences are cannot curb the country’s growing street crime. (ANI)
