Sep 21, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Michael C. Hall - the “Dexter” actor was diagnosed with a form of cancer in 2009 and it made him so worried that he started thinking he would not live for long. At that time he was 38 years old and he seriously thought that he might not be bale to make it to his 39th birthday. His father had passed away at 39 owing to prostrate cancer. When his father had died the actor was just a boy. However, he has crossed past his 39t birthday this year in February. The actor had to undergo chemotherapy for coping with cancer as he had said earlier.

It was kind of a coincidence that he was acting in a show dealing with death and had developed a fatal ailment before his 39th birthday. He plays the role of a serial killer with some amount of sympathy left in his heart. He was detected with Hodgkin’s lymphoma when he was shooting for the series’s 4th season last year. However, he kept the news of his illness discrete and his co actors did not know about it for long. The chemotherapy had left him bald so he wore a cap when he took the award for Golden Globe. It made some of his fans saddened.

However, the good news is that the actor has recovered to an extent and the effects of the cancer treatment are hardly visible on him. He is now gearing up to play more roles that are coming his way. The phase is over when he used to think about the ailment taking a toll on his life and career.
