Dec 22, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Mia Wasikowska might be new in Hollywood, but it seems in terms of getting the beg moolah, she is no less than the ace tinsel town hottie, Leonardo De Caprio. Yesterday, the Forbes magazine enlisted the highest grossing actors in Hollywood, where the top spot went to the “Inception” star, while not too behind was the beautiful new comer, Mia Wasikowska.

Leonardo DiCaprio earned an enviable amount of $1.1 billion for his two big flicks of the year, while just a fraction behind was the new Hollywood sensation, who grabbed $1.03 billion after “Alice In Wonderland”. However, she tied with Johny Depp, who also brought the same amount for “The Tourist”. The fourth position went to Robert Downey Jr. for “Iron Man 2″ and “Due Date”. Considering the seniority and the experience of all the other actors, one cannot deny that this new kid on the block is definitely here to stay, going at par with some of the most popular stars. A spokesperson for Forbes said that Mia Wasikowska was a “big surprise on our list”, and she has been quite lucky to bag a role in “Alice In Wonderland”. In a way, it was she who drove the film to success. She played a dominant role in it, which is quite appreciable right in the beginning of the career.

However it was not just “Alice In Wonderland” but also yet another super cool flick that helped her in bagging the second position in the list. Her character Joni, in “The Kids Are All Right” was well perceived by the audiences and enhanced her market value as well as the required critical appreciation. 2011, awaits more excitement for the star as three movies namely, “Jane Eyre”, “Albert Nobbs” and “Restless” are in the pipeline.
