mia2Oct.22 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Mia Michaels, the celebrity judge on the talent show “So You Think You Can Dance”, has announced her decision to quit the show. Given that she was considered by many to be the life and soul of the show, it is not a big surprise that her announcement has met with considerable protests and a collective sighs of disappointment from her legions of fans around the world.

Mia, an American celebrity choreographer, has quite an impressive clientele comprising the lion’s share of the who’s who of the American musical scene.

She has choreographed the likes of Celine Dion, Ricky Martin, Gloria Estefan and Prince among others. She also choreographed for the world tour of Cirque de Soleil named “Delirium”. She was nominated for the Emmy Awards for that show. She later won an Emmy for the Las Vegas show she choreographed for Celine Dion.

Having made glitterati sway to her moves, she moved on to add another feather to her cap. She agreed to be the celebrity judge on the show “So You Think You Can Dance.” Besides judging the contestants on the show, she is also the contemporary choreographer.

Mia was considered to be the reason why many people watched the show. The great moves she put on show increased the show’s watch-ability manifold. Her quirky remarks were the reason for a lot many of the viewers to tune in.

While announcing her decision, Mia said that the show was the best place she could have worked in. Her sudden decision has raised a lot of queries about her decision. There are speculations that the real reason lies in the appointment of Adam Shankman as permanent judge.
