Patrick Farrow, the 66-year-old brother of actress Mia Farrow has been found dead in his art gallery in the north-eastern US state of Vermont.
Vermont police Lieutenant Timothy Oliver described the death of Farrow as suspicious because portions of the police investigation didn’t add up.
He said Tuesday afternoon that police do not suspect foul play, but that there were a couple things out of the ordinary. He did not elaborate on what that meant.
Police said they were called to attend Farrow’s gallery, Castleton, near the New York state border, by the victim’s wife Susan Farrow, at about 11.30pm on Monday.
According to the farrowgallery.com website, Patrick Farrow had been a professional sculptor for over 35 years. Raised in Hollywood and Europe, he left New York City thirty years ago to pursue his art in the peaceful mountains of Vermont.
He was a ‘fellow’ in the National Sculpture Society and received numerous national awards, including those of the Allied Artists of America and the National Sculpture Society
UNICEF goodwill ambassador Mia Farrow, 64, has been an outspoken activist for many years, embarking most recently on a 12-day hunger strike to draw attention to the humanitarian crisis in Sudan’s embattled Darfur region.
Lieutenant Oliver said police were continuing their investigation and an autopsy will be conducted to try and determine the exact cause of death.
