Washington, Dec 14 (ANI): Chris Messina is in talks to star alongside Meryl Streep and Amy Adams in Julie & Julia.
The Columbia comedy is being directed by Nora Ephron, who has also adapted the screenplay from Julie Powell’s autobiographical book “Julie & Julia: 365 Days, 524 Recipes, 1 Tiny Apartment Kitchen.”
If Messina signs up, he will be playing the role of Adams characters hubby, reports the Hollywood Reporter.
Adams plays the part of a depressed government worker trying to add spice to her marriage and life by making every recipe in famed American cook, author and television personality Julia Child’s book “Mastering the Art of French Cooking.”
Streep will be playing Child in the parallel post-World War II story line. Stanley Tucci is set to play her husband.
Amy Robinson, Eric Steel, Laurence Mark and Ephron are producing the film. Scott Rudin and Dana Stevens will executive produce.
Principal photography is tentatively set to begin in March. Andrea Giannetti is overseeing the project for Columbia. (ANI)
