Dec.03 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Actress Meredith Baxter, lovingly called Sitcom Mom has revealed her hitherto closeted Lesbian orientation. She came out in an interview given to the Advocate and followed it up with a special appearance on “Today” show on Wednesday. This has come quite surprising to many of her fans as the 62 year old married thrice and has 5 children from those marriages. However, Baxter said in the interview that she realized about her attraction for the same sex seven years back and disclosed the issue to her family as well.

Baxter revealed that she is in a relation with a contractor in her fifties named Nancy Locke. She had her share of problems in accepting her orientation but now she does not have problem in accepting the fact that she likes women. According to a recently published report, she was seen on a lesbian cruise. There are many celebs who discover they are attracted to same sex but few have the guts to come out in the open about it like Baxter has done. However, Baxter has also admitted that she is a private person and giving an interview on her orientation is opposite to her nature.

Baxter further said that she felt an urge from her mind to come clean on the issue as the relation she shares with her lover became very important to her. The realization came late for her, though in her early life she got attracted to other women without realizing the reason for it. She has been in a relationship with Nancy for the past 4 years.
