Mena Suvari Weds Simone Sestito in Vatican City
June 29th, 2010 - 3:46 am ICT by Angela Kaye MasonJune 28 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Mena Suvari, an actress from Hollywood was married to Simone Sestito, a concert producer in a private church which is located int Vatican City, Italy on Sunday. The details of the ceremony were not given, but a private reception followed the nuptials outside the city.
A guest shared with People magazine, “The ceremony was truly unique and Mena looked breathtaking. They are very much in love.” Stacey Bendet, who owns ‘Alice and Olivia’ designed the wedding gown. She was said to be a good friend of the bride.
Mena, who is 31 and Simone, who is 25 made the decision to marry in Vatican City since much of the groom’s family lives nearby. The place in which the wedding took place was confirmed by the bride in March, and she added that she wanted her wedding to be “very romantic and traditional Italian…we’ll have at least a couple hundred guests”.
Simone and Mena met in 2007 at the Toronto Film Festival, and he asked her to marry him one year later. “We just understood each other,” Simone stated when they became engaged.. “She’s very caring and understanding. There was a connection.”
