Vatican City, June 27, (THAINDIAN NEWS) “American Pie” star Mena Suvari has tied the knot with concert producer Simone Sestito in a private ceremony that was held in Vatican City. Reportedly, this is the second marriage for the gorgeous actress after she separated from her ex-husband cinematographer Robert Brinkmann. Both of them were married for six years and Mena Suvari was 18 years younger to Robert Brinkmann.

However, this time Mena Suvari has chosen a much younger husband. The 25 year old concert producer have been dating the actress for three years. The couple wanted their marriage to be a private affair and hence chose a private chapel in Vatican City. It was also a preferable location as majority of the groom’s relative reside in Rome. Mena Suvari told media that she is impressed by her groom’s family and in order to cover her tattoos she had her weeding gown designed with special attention. She said that she needed to conceal her tattoos as because there are a couple of members in the groom’s family who are nuns.

The couple first met in the Toronto Film Festival way back in the year of 2007 and the actress felt that there was a “connection” between them from the very first meet. Gradually they were drawn close to each other and finally decided to get married. This marriage means a lot to Mena Suvari who had earlier witnessed a nasty separation from Robert Birkmann. Mena Suvari is also ready with her next movie “You May Not Kiss” which happens to be a comedy and is scheduled to hit the theaters at a later phase in the current year.
