willMay 10, (THAINDIAN NEWS) If reports are to be believed “Men in Black 3″ will soon see the light of day with Will Smith now gearing up to portray the role of Agent Jay. With Walter F. Parkes and Laurie MacDonald as the producers of the third version of the movie, Barry Sonnenfeld has been finalized as its director.

Along with Will Smith the film will also see the return of Tommy Lee Jones who featured in both the first and second versions of the sci-fi movie. Reports claim that Tommy Lee Jones is presently in talks with the Columbia Pictures over his contract. This time we may also see a new face in the film, that of actor Josh Brolin who will play the role of Agent K. The script for the latest offering from the “Men In Black” stable is to be penned by Etan Cohen and David Koepp. The story is essentially written in the flashback mode using the concept of ‘time travel’ from the present to the year 1969.

With almost all arrangements made and people finalized for the respective categories in the movie, the studio has also come up with a possible release date for the 3rd version of this flick. According to reports, “Men in Black” will hit theaters across America on May 25th, 2012.

Like the first two versions of the movie, this time too it is expected that the Will Smith starrer will do well at the box office. Also the fact that eight years have passed since the 2nd version of the sci-fi movie released, the audience will be awaiting the third offering and that too in 3D!
