Model Lisa Renee Davis, from Memphis, Tennessee, went missing from her home under “suspicious circumstances” according to reports. On Tuesday a local suicide was linked to Lisa Davis’ disappearance. A man shot himself as the police showed up to question him.

Bartlett police were following a tip when they went to the man’s home in Palomino in Lakeland. His mother opened the door and when she went inside to get him the police heard a gunshot. The man left a note that model Lisa Davis’ body could be found at the woods near Palomino Drive. The man was identified as Austin Agee, 21.

Lt. Rory Mack of the Bartlett police said that the note contained information about Lisa Davis, missing from Sunday and added that in the note the man “basically said something to the effect that he was sorry.”

After a short search Lisa Renee Davis’ body was found in a field near Paul Barrett Parkway and Salem Road. She was seen last on Sunday morning at her home in Luxury Cove in Bartlett when friends dropped her home. She worked at Bumpus Harley Davidson but when she did not show up for work her colleagues called the police. The police arrived at her home in the afternoon and found signs of forced entry and blood at the frontdoor. Lisa’s car, cell phone, keys and purse were found inside the house that she shared with her ex-fiance, a Shelby County Sheriff’s Deputy. He is not under suspicion yet.

The police are investigating how Agee knew about Lisa’s disappearance and murder. His mother works for the real estate agency where Lisa Renee Davis’ home was listed for sale.
