June 30, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Amy Locane Bovenizer was charged with second degree vehicular homicide and DUI crash for killing a woman after allegedly crashing her car under the influence of alcohol. On Sunday, June 29, the former “Melrose Star” was driving her Chevy Tahoe in Montgomery, New Jersey around 9 p.m. when she hit a Mercury Milan as it was turning a driveway. The woman passenger in the car was pronounced dead right at that moment and the her husband in the driver’s seat was injured badly.

The woman who was killed in the accident was Helene Seeman and her husband Fred Seeman was injured severely and hence was taken to New Brunswick’s Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital for treatment. The youngest son of Helene Seeman, Curtis,17, witnessed the whole trauma and later expressed his grief over his mother’s loss. The oldest son of Seeman’s has also said that he does not harbor any resentment against anybody. However, Amy Locane is also charged with an assault by auto and she is presently at Somerset County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail.

Amy Locane after her arrest during police interrogation admitted that she had several glasses of wine before she was driving. The witnesses also said that she had minor hit and run accidents as her car was “swerving” and knocked down several mailboxes as she was not able to control her car’s gear. The Somerset Country Police said Amy Locane if found guilty will have to suffer prison sentence for minimum 5 to 10 years. Amy Locane was not much injured in the accident, she only suffered a minor cut to her right foot.
