July 28 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Melissa Rycroft will most likely put away her dancing shoes for a while, as she and brand new husband Tye Strickland are expecting their first child.

The reality star from both, ‘Dancing With The Stars’ and ‘Bachelor Pad’ television shows made the announcement just six months after she was married to Strickland, and insurance agent. The report comes from ‘UsMagazine’.

Rycroft told the gossip celebrity news magazine, “It was a shock. We weren’t even trying! It’s the most wonderful surprise in the world.”

Rycroft was said to have been busy already with her new job as co-host of the ‘ABC’ new reality show, ‘Bachelor Pad’. She reportedly had not made plans to start a family just yet. “He wanted the kids right away, and I was laughing at him going, ‘No, not ready!’” Rycroft laughed to UsMagazine.

The 27 year old reality television star says she wants a boy and her husband wants a girl, but that they plan to find out the sex of the baby as soon as it is possible. She was married to Strickland in December, just 9 short months after her former fiance, Jason Mesnik from ‘The Bachelor’ broke up with her.
