Melissa Rycroft down with Swine Flu

Melissa Rycroft Los Angeles, Oct 19 (THAINDIAN NEWS) U.S. reality television personality Melissa Rycroft announced that she is down with the Swine Flu.

“I am indeed recovering from a bout of the H1N1 flu virus,” Rycroft told Usmagazine.com exclusively.

“Like most people who become infected, I thought I had a mild case of the common flu, but when my symptoms exacerbated, I immediately went to the hospital where I was diagnosed with H1N1 and given the proper medications to cure the infection,” she explained.

“I want to stress to people how easy it is to battle this flu when you take the proper steps such as seeking the care of a doctor. I’m a clear case that by paying diligent attention to your health, it’s easy to overcome this illness and be healthy again.”

Rycroft shot to fame after competing on TV’s “Dancing with the Stars” and “The Bachelor.”

The 1983 born Melissa Katherine Rycroftwas originally a sales representative from Dallas, Texas, and former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader, before she became a contestant during the first season of the CMT reality TV series Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team. As the first season concluded, Rycroft was selected as one of the thirty-six Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders (DCC) for the 2006 NFL season. Rycroft remained on the DCC squad through the 2007 NFL season.

Then she appeared on the thirteenth season of The Bachelor as one of the twenty-five bachelorettes vying for the heart of The Bachelor, Jason Mesnick. She was also the eventual winner of the grand finale.
