Nov. 24, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Melissa Rauch guest starred in this week’s episode of the show “The Big Bang Theory.” The show opens with the introduction of Melissa Raunch as Bernadette. She is shown walking up to her apartment door with Howard. From their conversation, it is obvious that they had met earlier on the “Creepy Candy Coating Corollary.” As the two walk up to Bernadette’s room, she points out that it is their first date and that they are supposed to have sex. While Howard ponders over that fact, she asks him whether he is interested to strike up a relationship with her or he would rather end matters with a one night stand.
As Howard deliberates on the safe answer, Bernadette kisses him lightly and leaves, asking him to call her when he is decided enough. Still confused, he goes back to Leonard’s apartment to find that he is watching television with Penny. There, he has to face the obvious embarrassment of returning home early, and alone, from a date that seemed to be going great guns till then.
Melissa Raunch was undoubtedly flawless in her short role. However, the best part of the show had to be Howard’s acting. Particularly the part where Bernadette points out that it is their third date, and he realizes that the moment has come to either kiss goodbye to their friendship or to take it to the next level. Then he realizes that either way, their friendship is going to come to an end. Though Melisa’s appearance is being touted as a cameo, it is highly possible that she might turn out to be the woman winning Howard’s affections.

Being a physicists, I’m unsure of what to think of this show; however, the chemistry between the “nerds” is terrific! It is great to turn on a show that helps bring me back down to earth. The show may be a tiny bit unrealistic when it comes to how “nerds” actually behave, but you don’t have to be a nerd to appreciate the science humor. In the same respect, the behavior of the “regulars” is a little exaggerated, but is done in such a way which helps accentuate the characters’ contrast.
