Melanie Griffith Checks In To Rehab

Sources implies that actress Melanie Griffith has checked in to a rehab located in Utah. The reason for the same has not been divulged as of now. The 52 year actress has reportedly checked in to the same rehab of Cirque Lodge, where previously actresses like Kirsten Dunst and Lindsay Lohan have spent time while undergoing treatment facilities.
The news seems to have been confirmed by Griffith’s rep. Robin Baum who has reportedly told the Star Magazine that, “She is there to reinforce her commitment to stay healthy. This is part of a routine plan that was designed between her and her doctors years ago.”
Close sources have however reported to the tabloid that the star has checked in to the rehab after she lost a long drawn battle with herself, to combat her inclination towards alcohol. An inside source is quoted to have said, “She’s working with the counselors on getting control of her demons. The reason Melanie checked in was her husband was demanding that she get clean and sober.” The “Now And Then” actress is married to the Spanish actor of “Mask of Zorro” fame, Antonio Banderas.
Another close source has told the media that, “Melanie’s struggling right now, but Antonio has been checking in on her as much as he is allowed, making sure she gets back on her feet.”
Griffith is known to have substance abuse problem from as long ago as 1970s and 1980s. She had even spent a fair share of her time in rehab in the year 1998 and repeated the session once more in 2000.
