Mel Gibson’’s rep blasts working for Chris Brown reports
February 19th, 2009 - 5:26 pm ICT by ANIWashington, Feb 19 (ANI): Mel Gibsons publicist has dismissed reports that he has been hired to save the career of embattled singer Chris Brown following his alleged dispute with girlfriend Rihanna.
Brown, 19, was arrested on the night of Grammys on suspicion of assaulting the Umbrella hitmaker and was released on 50,000-dollars bail.
The extensive media coverage has put Browns career in jeopardy and he had reportedly hired Alan Nierob to help him limit the damage, reports Contactmusic.
However, according to Access Hollywood, Nierob, renowned for helping Gibson’’s movie career after his infamous anti-Semitic outburst in 2006, when he was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI), has dismissed the reports.
Brown is working with publicist firm Sitrick and Company - who released a statement on Brown’’s behalf earlier this week in which he stated he was “saddened” by the incident. (ANI)
