Mel Gibson’s movie ‘The Beaver’ to release in March-April 2011

The movie would release in some theatres on the 23rd of March 2011 and then it would release in even more theatres on the 8th of April 2011.
Summit Entertainment LLC’s movie is based on a man who goes on a journey to meet his family. The movie is directed by Jodie Foster. Due to Mel Gibson public battle with his ex-girlfriend Oksana, the postproduction work on the movie was affected. Mel and Oksana’s infamous battle was fought in the public eye and it managed to bring about a lot of discredit to the noted actor-director. He was also investigated for domestic violence and a judge also asked him to surrender all his firearms. Things reached such a sour point that at one time, Mel wanted to bid adieu to US for good and settle in Australia.
And this will be the first Mel Gibson starrer to release in the theatres after his infamous audio rants against Oksana.
The total cost incurred in making ‘The Beaver’ was around $19 million, as per reports by the Internet Movie Database.
