mel1Oct 22, (THAINDIAN NEWS) All the die-hard fans of Hollywood actor Mel Gibson were pitching their hope on the sequel of “The Hangover” that was expected to turn into the much-anticipated comeback for the “Braveheart” star. However, the hope of his fans were dashed to the ground after director Todd Phillips recently announced that the noted actor would no longer be associated with the forthcoming flick “The Hangover 2.”

In the sequel to the 2009 hit “The Hangover”, Mel Gibson was supposed to play the role of a tattoo artist and the shooting for the movie was scheduled to commence in the next few weeks. However, a statement that was released by director Todd Phillips said that the 54-year-old actor would not be seen in the project as the decision to include Mel Gibson in the star cast was not supported by the cast and crew of the flick. The ace director further went on to reveal that although he and Jeff Robinov, the president of Warner Bros. thought that the “Mad Max” star would have been really great in the movie, the decision failed to garner support from the other casts and crew of “The Hangover 2″.

Actor Mel Gibson has been in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons lately after his much-publicized split from girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva. The actor is currently being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department over charges of domestic abuse against his former girlfriend and mother of his one-year-old daughter. Meanwhile, neither Mel Gibson nor any of his representatives has not been available for any comments regarding his ouster from “The Hangover 2.”
